The many studs on the sloppily arranged steel plates of these bases look chaotic and unsystematic. The myriad of affixed plates and their sometimes irregular shapes further enhance the impression of something crudely knocked together. Occasional pipes, other technical looking elements and the many edges make these metal plates especially suited for miniatures of primitive Sci-Fi armies, but also for other forces who are prone to improvising and don't care for clean construction.
